Water for Elephants

I want to see the movie Water for Elephants but I also know I am going to sob my heart out!  I haven't read the book yet so perhaps I need to do that before I see the film....  Love these pics of Reese Witherspoon by Peter Lindbergh.

Beautiful blogs

Its so exciting to have some new followers - thank you!  I have also discovered some new and exciting blogs to follow.  There are so many amazing blogs from all over the world, and we have some really awesome ones here in South Africa.  Two of my favourite Cape Town blogs are Lanalou Style and Miss Moss - if you have never visited these blogs before, do yourself a favour and visit them now!  They have both been featured in various local publications - you can have a little read about them below....

I dreamed of Africa

Still longing for the rain but its pics like these that remind me how lucky I am to live in Africa.  I may live in a city but I just need to see pictures of the bush to conjure up those smells and sounds that are so uniquely African.

Winter

I have been really bad about blogging recently with absolutely no excuse for it!  I think I am waiting for winter, I am ready for a bit of hibernation now!

Olive picking

Just back from a glorious 24 hours with my wonderful Stanford and Hermanus friends - superb food, champagne and conversation and a rather feeble attempt at olive picking (hopefully I still qualify for a bottle of olive oil once it is pressed) - what a tonic.
