Mothers Day

Yesterday was a perfect Cape Town autumn day and my mum, Emma, Sarah and I went out for a gorgeous Mothers Day brunch.

Winter wardrobe

I am loving the cooler weather and the chance to wear jackets, scarves and boots again!  I am without a doubt a real fan of winter fashion and a collector of jackets.  I have discovered another amazing fashion blog - Hanneli.  Hanneli Mustaparta was a model before becoming a stylist.  She also does make-up and is a talented photographer.  Her Sartorialist-style blog is amazing with pages and pages of fashion inspiration.  Love these looks.  Alexa Chung gets it right every time!

Central Park in Spring - From Me To You

There is no question that New York City is a place I have to visit and it is my dream to be go there in either spring or autumn when I do.  I get such city envy when I read Monique's blog Tipa Tipa and after looking at these pics on Jamie's spectacular blog, From Me To You, I am more committed than ever to make that trip!  Jamie is the most amazing photographer and if you haven't visited her blog already (unlikely!) then I suggest you go there immediately.

I wish this was a look I could carry off - I have tried, and failed....  I always thought it would work for me as I have long red hair and somehow long red hair has a strong association with hippy chic - but sadly, not for me.

I have been seriously slack about blogging but it has been so busy with all the holidays, friends visiting from the UK, family get-togethers, etc.  Lots of fun, but time to get back into a semblance of a routine!
